Executive Breakout: Creating an Improvement Culture
Overview
Many healthcare organizations are on journeys to apply Lean principles to transform performance for our patients and our community. Despite an ambitious dedication of resources, we struggle to consistently achieve the best results possible. What leverage point do we need to push today? PRINCIPLES DRIVEN LEADERSHIP!
This year’s Annual Executive PI Summit will include a distinguished panel of local executives to share their reflections on pursuing perfection as a foundation for transformation. The keynote will be delivered by Dr. Richard P. Shannon, EVP of Health Affairs for the University of Virginia Health System and Kaiser Permanente Board Member. Additionally, breakout sessions will provide insights in the principles of operational excellence. Breakouts will also provide concrete steps for each level in an organization (from Executive leader to PI staff) to learn to engage and enable every worker to systematically reinvent work, to produce the best healthcare performance results possible.
BAPIN is thrilled to welcome Dr. Richard P. Shannon, Executive Vice President of Health Affairs at the University of Virginia Health System and Kaiser Permanente Board Member, as our keynote speaker for our Fourth Annual Executive Performance Improvement Summit. Dr. Shannon is a pioneer in driving patient outcomes by pursuing perfect and using proven principles of leadership and operational excellence. His work has been featured in books (The Best Practice, Charles Kenney), documentaries (Reinventing American Medicine, PBS), articles (Fixing Healthcare from the Inside Out, Today, Harvard Business Review), and on CNN.
